Do You Think I Enjoy Deleting You?
As a Program Owner of a site I have the dilemna of deleting those who are cheating the advertiser and the sites honest members of money. I agonize over deleting some people at times. I want to believe everyone is honest and reading the emails, considering offers and I actually enjoy paying the members.
It is agonizing to spend hours tracking down cheaters. And some are very clever and difficult to to catch. But when a member finds every loop hole and I even give them a second chance because I truly want to believe them it makes me downright angry that people would steal from sites for pennies.
What is so hard about looking at an email or spending a few minutes on a site looking at a paid to click ad you clicked on? Incentive clicking was about giving a small reward to view their advertisement, but it seems so many want a way to avoiding viewing thier advertisement and to earn the incentive.
It is so hard for me to believe that there are those who would signup for multiple accounts, use click software and never even view the site they are a member of, find loop holes or vulnerabilities in the scripts to cheat the sites. Wouldn’t this time be better spent doing something constructive rather then cheating someone out a few pennies?
The difficult part for me is finding long term members, who might not have been cheating to begin with. Have we all become so calloused and jaded it doesn’t matter anymore? Is it all about the almighty dollar anymore? What about the other members who are clicking one link at a time, participating in the site, contributing to the site? What about the advertiser who paid you to click that ad? Do they not matter?
It is no wonder this industry is a struggling one anymore. Program owners who find every way they can to scam the affiliates, members scamming the programs. It is not fair to the honest sites or honest members, and last but not least it is not fair to the advertiser.
How many honest sites are going to be here in another couple years? Time to pay attention to the ads and take care of attitudes of here today gone tomorrow. Cause all of them may be gone tomorrow.
If you think it is easy for me to delete someone it is not. I gather every bit of info I can before I do, Do I owe them an explanation? They know what they did? I am positive they did? Can they be that ignorant? I think not. if they were smart enough to cheat. They are smart enough to figure out why they were deleted.
I just hate having to delete anyone. But I hate those who think they can cheat my site more. But I surely do not enjoy deleing someone.
