Is It Just About The Cash?
Reading on one of the forums today I came across a thread about a Paid to Read site and Paid to Click banners with no cash or point values. The subject line made me open the thread to read it. “Kinda Bogus, Adpaid of all programs.” The first sentence read, “PTC’s for Zero points? What’s the point of that??” I found the topic quite interesting and went on to read more of the thread. The intial reaction of most of the posters at the forum was what was the big deal, with a remark from the original poster of. “It is a way to get people to visit those sites without having to pay them.” Now my take on the whole thing as a Program Owner was this wasn’t unusual as the Paid to Clicks were most likely Contest Link Paid to clicks which would make the Paid to Clicks ads worth something. Many Paid to Read programs have a Contest Link section which have banners worth very little or nothing at all and every so many clicks a member wins a prize of cash or advertising for clicking the banners. So would it still not be paid clicking? I would think that one would be happy with winning in the Contest PTC section if they were active enough. The amount is much more then most cash or point ads are worth and if one is an active clicker the chance of winning that prize is higher then if you randomly clicked ads. Do we not have choices in PTR for what we choose to click on or has complaining just become a way of life in the forums for someone frustrated with something else in life? This seemed such a petty thing to me for one to complain about. There are generally lots of other ads at sites to click on or does it come down to the money and nothing more with some. Isn’t Paid to Read suppose to be about Advertisers and Consumers coming together or am I missing something here? Someone please enlighten me…
PTR and Free Upgrades
Are They Really FREE? Paid to Read Sites Offering Free Upgrades….
I started a thread at my forum, a month ago on sites which offer free upgrades asking if all the free upgrades were really beneficial to the members or the site.
It concerns me to see several Program Owners buying up dozens of sites and offering free upgrades to draw members in. I had wondered how beneficial it really was when they were offering 1000 free upgrades and the ads then that were going out were worthless cash or point ads. Read more
Any Excuse Will Do
Any excuse will do when justifying something you are doing wrong. Owning your actions is a lost art. Excuses are the new fashion trend to wear for all to see. Excuses are lies we tell ourselves to avoid dealing with unpleasant truths. The other guy is doing something so how is it different then what I am doing? Since they are doing it, it must be ok for me to do what I am doing. Read more
More on Newest Trend in Paid to Read
Rod, of ShareAdSpace :
It just come to my attention that “some” members of this industry don’t fully understand the reason why opening multiple ads within a very short time period will have a negative impact to not only the site in question but each site that is advertised within and ALL sites within the industry. Inactives, Duplicates, and Cheats… Oh, My!
Every year in the Get Paid Forums someone brings up activity requirements and large sites. I can see both sides of the coin when reading through the comments about members who forget or have busy lives and don’t get back to the site to view emails. I can understand wanting a site with no activity level. Life does get hectic at times and being online is not always feasible. Read more
Rant - Newest Trend in Paid To Read
It seems there is a new trend in PTR to allow multiple windows opened at the same time and to have 25 or more PTC ads on one page so that members can open them all up at the same time and get them done with. What is it with creating human clickbots with Paid to Read? Read more
